ORCHOS CHAIM MISSION STATEMENT

Our activities are included in the three areas of focus: Torah, Kehilla and Kiruv.

To teach and disseminate Torah and inspire young people who will become future spiritual and lay leaders in their Jewish communities. The study of Torah has always been and remains to be the centre-piece and source of blessing for all of our activities. We have 15 outstanding avreichim from several different backgrounds learning in two distinct learning programs. One group focuses on the study of Choshen Mishpat along with all the relevant sources from the Talmud. The second group focuses upon the study of Orach Chaim and Yoreh Deiah. Many of these avreichim have expressed their appreciation for what Orchos Chaim has brought into their lives, a quality and depth of learning and hashkafah that they had never before experienced.

To lead the new Torah kehilla of Givat Zev and to cultivate a warm and inclusive communal environment, and provide thoughtful, practical and compassionate personal rabbinic guidance and leadership. We have created a community around the yeshiva that looks to Orchos Chaim as the center of their daily life in avodas Hashem in addition to serving as a source of chizuk and inspiration in their personal lives. We have almost completed construction of our new Beit Medrash.

To develop and engage in innovative kiruv projects that broaden and deepen Torah observance.

Although we have evolved and changed over the years Orchos Chaim remains on the path upon which it was founded: bringing young Jewish people and families closer to Hashem and helping to improve their lives.
